Returns and refunds

Returns in YallaBuy follow a clear path: the customer submits the request from their order tracking page, you review and decide, and the platform puts stock and money back where they belong.

On this page

1.How returns work

The cycle is clear: the customer submits a return request stating the reason, items and quantities; it lands in “Returns management” for your review; you approve it or reject it with a stated reason. Only an approved return actually touches stock and money.

2.The customer submits the return

  1. The customer opens the order tracking page using the tracking code received after purchase.
  2. They choose “request a return” and pick the reason: defective item, wrong size, changed mind, wrong item, or other.
  3. They write a short note and pick the items and quantities to send back.
  4. The request records and appears in the customer return-requests queue inside your dashboard.

3.Reviewing: approve or reject

From “Returns management” open the customer request, read the reason and the items, then make the call:

  • Approve: choose the refund method — cash, back to the original payment method, or store credit — and decide whether the items return to stock.
  • Reject: a clear reason is required, and it reaches the customer so the conversation ends on fair ground.
  • The refund amount is computed from the order data stored on the server, so it cannot be inflated or tampered with.

4.Effect on stock and money

An approved return with restock puts the quantities back immediately — the product becomes sellable again without you touching stock by hand. The cost value of the returned items reverses too, so your profit reporting stays accurate after the return instead of overstated.

5.Controlling whether you accept returns

Policy is yours: from the dashboard feature settings you can switch returns off entirely — and the switch is enforced on the server, so the customer request page closes too, not just a hidden button.
