POS and selling in-store

The register is a full selling screen for your counter: find the product or scan its barcode, fill the cart, take the money — the sale records as complete on the spot and counts toward today's shift.

1.Who gets the register

The register is built for selling at the counter, so it exists for Restaurant & Cafe and Grocery stores only — the first piece of in-store operations next to the kitchen display.

2.A quick sale

  1. Open “POS” from the sidebar and search by name or SKU, or scan a barcode directly.
  2. Tap the product to drop it in the cart — repeat for the rest, or change quantities from the cart.
  3. If the customer has a coupon, apply it to the bill before paying.
  4. Pick the payment method and take the amount — for cash, the register checks the tendered money covers the total.
  5. The sale records instantly as a completed receipt attached to today's shift, and shows in the order archive with the POS source.

3.Customers and order type

Attach the bill to a customer from your database by searching a name or phone number — the sale then counts in their purchase history. For an unregistered walk-in, the receipt records as a plain walk-in sale.

  • Walk-in: handed over at the counter the moment it is paid.
  • Dine-in: pick the table from your floor plan; the order binds to it and heads to the kitchen display.
  • Pickup: the customer collects the order when it is ready.

4.Cash shifts and drawer counts

Cash is managed in shifts: open one at the start of the day with an opening float, record any cash moving in or out of the drawer other than sales (expense withdrawals, cash top-ups), and close the shift at the end by counting the drawer.

  • The close-out report gathers cash sales, cash-in and cash-out movements and refunds, and puts the expected drawer next to what you counted — any gap shows immediately.
  • Shift history is kept, so any day and any shift can be reviewed later.
  • The figures are computed from the database, not the register screen, so the count is trustworthy and protected from tampering.

5.Counter sales and online orders in one place

Register receipts and online store orders land together in the same “All orders” archive, filterable by source: POS or website. The order status board shows active orders from both sources side by side — nothing slips between the counter and the online store.
