Adding & managing products

Products are the heart of your store. This guide covers adding a product, setting its price, images and stock, adding options like sizes and colors, and controlling how it appears in your online store.

On this page

1.Add a new product

  1. Open “Products” from your dashboard and press the add-product button.
  2. Write the product name in Arabic (optionally in English too) plus a short description your customer will understand.
  3. Set the price — for a discounted item, put the original price in “compare at price” so it shows struck through.
  4. Upload at least one image; the first image is what appears in the store and catalog.
  5. Pick a category so shoppers can reach the product from the menu page.
  6. Save — the product appears in your online store immediately.

2.Price and cost

The selling price is what customers see in the store and POS. The “cost price” is private to you as the owner — customers never see it; YallaBuy uses it to compute your profit in the finance dashboard.

3.Stock tracking and availability

For limited-quantity items, enable stock tracking, enter the quantity and a low-stock threshold — YallaBuy warns you before you run out and stops ordering automatically when a product is sold out or switched off.

  • “Available for sale” controls both visibility and orderability — switch it off for items unavailable today.
  • “Featured” highlights the product on your storefront.
  • Restaurants and cafés can set availability windows (e.g. breakfast only) so the item cannot be ordered outside them.

4.Options, sizes and colors

If a product comes in multiple forms — a T-shirt with sizes and colors — use product options: create an option named “Size” with values (S / M / L) and one for color; YallaBuy generates a variant per combination, each with its own price, stock and image.

Every variant is managed independently: you can switch off one sold-out size without hiding the whole product. Full details in the options & variants article.

5.Digital products

Selling files — PDFs, templates, designs? Attach the file or a download link and the customer receives it the moment the order completes, with no manual work. The “Digital Products” business type is built exactly for this.

6.How the product appears on Google

Every product has its own SEO fields in the editor: a custom search title, a meta description, and a “noindex” switch for items you do not want in Google. Left empty, the store falls back to the product name and description automatically.
